Apple seen selling iPad 3 HD, iPad 2S and iPad 2 in 2012
Apple is seen expanding its tablet lineup significantly in 2012, offering a third-generation iPad with a high-resolution iPad 3 HD alongside a updated faster iPad 2S, as well as the discounted iPad 2.
As the Analysts said, Apple is expected to keep the iPad 2 alive even after next-generation models are announced in early 2012, with a 16GB version sold as a budget option, much in the same way as the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 is still available while iPhone 4S released.
In addition, Apple maybe also introduce a souped-up iPad 2, which is perhaps called an "iPad 2S," akin to the iPhone 4S. A so-called iPad 2S could include a faster processor and the powerful voice assistants Siri integration, just like Apple's latest iPhone. (In my personal opinion, iPad 2S may be not the next version of iPad 2 while iPhone 4S means iPhone 4 Steve Jobs to some extent, that's iPhone 4S has its own meaning while iPad 2S not.)

Finally, Apple would still plans to launch a full-fledged, thinner and lighter iPad 3 in early 2012. That iPad 3 HD product would differentiate itself from the hypothetical iPad 2S by featuring a high-definition and Retina Display screen, Siri integration in addition to a faster processor and 3D Effect and 4G Compatibility. And the high-definition may be 2058X1536 pixels.
Numerous recent reports have indicated that Apple has inked a deal with Sharp to build LCD panels for its next-generation iPad. The next iPad is rumored to feature a high-resolution display, akin to the Retina Display branding Apple introduced with the iPhone 4 in 2010.
Sharp's new iPad 3 display is expected to feature IGZO technology, which stands for indium, gallium and zinc. The new LCD panel is rumored to have a 330-dots-per-inch resolution without the need for IPS technology for superior viewing angles found in the current iPad 2.
Besides the much higher resolution and retina display for iPad 3 sreen, the camera could be also improved as iPhone 4S gives the Apple fans a big shock with the stunning recorded HD 1080p videos.
